Where are you based/situated? What is your address?

Do you have an outlet/branch/shop in…..?

As an online shop, we do not have outlets and/or branches and shop fronts. We serve customers country-wide with a convenient cost-effective online experience. Can I pick up an item from your offices?

By prior arrangement, certain items could be picked up from our office in Randburg. Note, however:

  1. Not all items that we sell are held in our Randburg offices. The other locations do not allow pick-up.
  2. A 5% administration fee may be applicable, unless an online order was placed and pick-up in Randburg was arranged.
  3. Only EFT in advance, or exact cash, will be accepted. EFT on site is not allowed due to fraud, and we do not have card facilities or change on site.
  4. Collection is only by arrangement/appointment.
Do you deliver to…..?

If you are in South Africa, the answer is “yes”. We utilise the services of The Courier Guy, with their well-renowned and far-reaching network in South Africa.

How much is delivery?

We use flat-rate algorithms with different classes allocated to different products. The area that delivery is being made to will also affect this. To get your exact delivery cost, add the desired item to your cart, add your address, and a delivery cost will be shown in the cart before checkout.

Can payment be made on delivery?

Regrettably not, as we use third-party courier services in the form of The Courier Guy, who cannot accept money on our behalf. Payment can be conveniently made on our online shop through Payfast.

How long does it take to deliver?

This depends on where the parcel is going, what has been ordered, and at what time of the day the order was received. Generally, delivery is made within 1–2 business days. Some outlying regions may experience an extra day or two delay, whereas delivery sometimes takes place within the same day in Gauteng if the item ordered is Gauteng-based and the order was received before 9:00.

Please note that these delivery times are based on customers buying online directly through our online shop. For customers not buying through the online shop, where a quote was sent to the customer with banking details, the delivery time will likely be longer as we have to await verification of payment before releasing any items.

How long would a backordered item take to be delivered?

Backordered items usually take approximately 5–12 weeks to be delivered, unless a different lead time is specified on the product page or communicated to you directly. We will keep you updated where possible regarding the expected delivery timeframe.

Please note that backordered items are subject to our Cancellation of Backordered Items policy. If we are unable to fulfil delivery within the 12-week period, you will receive a full refund for the value of that item. If you choose to cancel the backordered item within the stated delivery period, a 10% administration fee will apply.

Are you open on weekends?

Orders can be placed on our online shop at any time of the day or night, on weekends and public holidays. However, orders will only be processed during normal business hours.

There is a discrepancy in delivery costs on Google and on your site.

Yes, it has been an uphill battle to get Google Merchant Centre properly synced with our site. Therefore, the delivery costs on Google are not always updated and sometimes do not appear at all.

How do I get to the correct size of diapers/gloves that I need, on your shop?

When you are on the diaper or gloves page, click on the “Select options” tab. Once the page reopens, select the size from the drop-down menu where it says “Choose an option”.

Remember to ensure that you are on the correct quantity option, either the “box of 80” or “pack of 10” diapers, or “box of 100” or “box of 1000” for gloves, as per your preference.

How much are your adult diapers?

Please go to https://www.summitsurgical.co.za/product-category/diapers/ for the different sizes and prices per size. Regrettably, we do not have Pull-Ups in our range yet.

Which is the correct size of diapers for me / my ‘patient’?

I need an Anti-Bedsore Mattress / Alternating Air Mattress, but should I go for the “Bubble Mattress” or the more advanced “Cell Mattress”?

Medical Aid

Invoices and claim support

I need to claim from my medical aid. Can you assist with that?

We can provide an invoice with NAPPI codes on many products and medical aid member details. Please be aware that our practice number is still pending. Therefore, should the medical aid require a practice number on the invoice, we are currently not able to provide that.
