Product Technology Overview:
The dressing contains silver ions, which are evenly distributed throughout the foam and activated upon contact with wound fluid. In laboratory testing (in vitro), this provides antimicrobial activity within 30 minutes and may be sustained for up to 7 days. The Safetac® contact layer adheres gently to surrounding skin but not to the moist wound bed, making dressing changes more comfortable.
